"The Worlds Most Advanced Refrigerant Oil"

TESTS AND TRIALS

ERG 1000 - has been field tested in over 700 compressors of various sizes, types and applications all with excellent results - when the correct procedures and good refrigeration practice is adhered to.

There's no mystery about it - you just need to start with a clean system.

If you don't know how much of the 'old oil' you may have in your system - and you don't remove it then you will have problems - many of the new refrigerants are excellent solvents - and if you have 15 years of mineral oil build up in you condenser - some of which may have turned into a tar like substance, and you don't clean it out - then you are asking for trouble.

We have seen systems where there has been three times the oil capacity of the sump logged around the 'tubes' - just imagine when this 'old oil' comes back to the compressor - and trust us - it will - what effect is that going to have on your compressor - and it's the same if you are changing to any other oil.

The compressors shown below - excellently maintained - each has a oil capacity of 14 litres - but after draining, the systems were mechanically flushed - yielding a further 2.5 - 3 litres of oil - that nearly 20% over and above the compressor capacity.

If you have a new system say up to two or three years old - and there has been no signs of excessive oil carry over - then fine you can get away without flushing - but when it doubt - flush it out. We would also recommend you take a sample of your existing oil and have it analysed.
